C
oncrete Fermentation Vats

A brewery in Poland with 13 open fermentation vats made from wax lined concrete was thinking of replacing these vessels. Taking into consideration all the costs and the extensive time factor involved, it worked out to be much cheaper to have us reline them.

After removing the original wax lining, rather than using conventional concrete and cement to make the repairs to the substrate - which with adequate ventilation would have taken 28 days minimum before we could start lining them - we used a rapid cure epoxy mortar system which we were able to over-coat after 48 hours. Not only did this mean that the brewery was able to get the vessels back into production at least three weeks quicker, it also saved the brewery a considerable amount of money.
